BRABUS has given its most famous nameplate an open roof for the first time. For decades, ROCKET has marked the most performance-focused supercars from the Bottrop company, combining huge power, uncompromising dynamics and a bold look. The BRABUS 900 ROCKET EDITION CABRIO, built on the W 465 series Mercedes-AMG G 63, is the first open-top Rocket in the brand's history. Production is limited to ten cars worldwide.

A soft top with more than 500 new parts

The hard part of an open G is keeping its unmistakable silhouette. BRABUS designed a two-part soft top for the job, using more than 500 newly developed components to give the structure the stiffness it needs. When the roof is closed, it locks into the reinforced windscreen frame at the front. A broad carbon-fibre roof bow in the front section of the folding top keeps its shape even at high speed.

900 hp and a torque limit

Power comes from the BRABUS ROCKET 900 V8 twin-turbo with increased displacement. It delivers a peak of 662 kW, or 900 hp, at 6,200 rpm, and its maximum torque of 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) arrives at just 2,900 rpm. According to the German release, the car limits that figure electronically to 1,050 Nm. BRABUS quotes 3.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph). Top speed is capped electronically at 240 km/h (149 mph) to protect the tyres.

24-inch wheels, twelve inches wide

On the road, the Cabrio runs on high-performance road tyres. Widened BRABUS wings make room for PLATINUM EDITION wheels in an evolved version of the familiar Monoblock II three-spoke design. At the rear, the wheels are twelve inches wide and wear 345/25 ZR 24 tyres. Aero blades in exposed carbon add a more technical touch to the wheel design.

Black leather and Rocket Red

The Masterpiece interior pairs black leather with Alcantara. BRABUS Shell quilting covers the seats and door panels and continues into the leather-trimmed footwells and luggage compartment, right down to the floor mats. Red contrast stitching and piping run through the cabin, and many parts, from switches, speaker grilles and air vents to trim, handles and door-lock pins, are finished in ROCKET RED. High-gloss carbon trim and carbon pedal pads underline the sporting brief.

A digital passport in the boot

One feature is easy to miss: a blockchain-based Digital Product Passport built into a dedicated BRABUS Spec Plate in the luggage compartment. Developed with the Aura Blockchain Consortium, it stores verified records of authenticity, ownership and specification for every BRABUS Masterpiece built in Bottrop. With only ten cars in existence, that documented provenance is likely to matter to future buyers. Our supercar investment guide explains why rarity and paperwork drive values, and our list of the most expensive supercars shows where limited runs can end up.
